About me
I was born and raised in north-central Kansas, where my rural upbringing fostered a deep appreciation for nature, open spaces, and the small details often overlooked—elements that inspire my landscape photography. After moving to the Wichita area during high school, I began to appreciate the vibrancy of city life, while still holding onto my roots as a country kid at heart, often capturing the beauty of wildlife and the thrill of storm photography.
Outside of photography, including my passion for landscape photography and storm photography, I work full time in a correctional facility, where patience, awareness, and teamwork are part of everyday life. That experience deepened my respect for law enforcement, emergency responders, and the people who step into difficult situations to serve others. I also stay active in my community through volunteer work with my local CERT team and training toward becoming involved in wildlife photography and K9 Search & Rescue operations.
Photography began when I borrowed my dad’s camera gear and grew into a lasting passion after purchasing my first professional camera, a Nikon D850. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours exploring Kansas backroads, wildlife areas, storm fronts, and training environments in search of meaningful moments and dramatic light. My work focuses heavily on landscape, wildlife, and storm photography, while also documenting Search & Rescue training and emergency response events that showcase teamwork, preparedness, and real-world dedication in action.
